International learning & industry engagement

Honours program

Alongside my International Business studies, the Honours program has taken my learning beyond the classroom. Working with international teams and hearing from industry professionals has helped me connect creative thinking with real business challenges, from nature’s role in society to the future of responsible luxury.

The experiences

Immersive Tech Week

At Immersive Tech Week 2024, I participated in my first hackathon. Our team tackled the question: “How do we integrate the perspective of nature into our society?” The experience challenged me to consider an unfamiliar perspective, collaborate under pressure and turn a broad question into shared creative thinking, with support from our teachers and the event organisers.

Inside DEPT®

I joined a group of 25 Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences students for a session on DEPT® and its recruitment process, hosted by Talent Acquisition professional Elena Collini. Maria Pardo Jaramillo also shared insights into the agency’s sustainability strategy. The visit offered a closer look at agency careers, internship recruitment and how sustainability fits into a creative business.

Luxury & sustainability in Paris

In May 2025, I joined the BIP — Bridging Reputation and Sustainability in Luxury Programme in Paris, alongside students from France, Spain and the Netherlands. Organised by EFAP, Universitat de Vic and Rotterdam Business School, the week brought together practical marketing work, industry insights and first-hand encounters with luxury brands.

  • Developed a Gen Z campaign for ORNEST, connecting sustainability with the desirability of luxury fashion.
  • Gained insights from Kering into change and responsibility within the luxury sector.
  • Explored the relationship between style, storytelling and sustainability in a creative masterclass with Aleksandra Olenska.
  • Visited Hermès and the LV Dream exhibition to see how heritage, craftsmanship and innovation can coexist.

“These experiences have broadened how I think about business: listening to different perspectives, working across cultures and bringing creativity and responsibility into the same conversation.”
